Abstract:
The current issue of the strategic report addresses an emerging and critical issue, namely the economic impacts of coronavirus pandemic on GCC countries. The coronavirus pandemic has proven that global pandemics are an actual threat to international security, transnational and not limited to a specific geographical scale. This epidemic, which emerged clearly in early 2020, has had effects on the world’s economy. The GCC countries whose economies depend on oil revenues and global trade are clearly affected by this global crisis. This issue of the strategic report seeks to examine how the coronavirus crisis affect the national economies of the GCC countries, the strategies pursued by the Gulf Arab states in the face of this crisis, and the areas of cooperation between these countries in the face of this threat. The report also seeks to make some recommendations to deal with the economic consequences of this crisis and to provide a forward-looking view of this crisis on the Gulf Arab states.
