Abstract:
This translated article discusses an important issue related to relations between the United States of America and the Gulf Arab States, where these relationships have gone through stages of development and turns that have contributed to their crystallization as they are today. This article provides a certain vision for interpreting these relations successive US administrations, especially those of George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump. The article focuses on approaching Washington’s relationship with its allies in the Gulf Arab States, in terms of the relationship with Iran. It also compares Washington’s relationship with its allies in the Arab Gulf States, its relations with its allies in Japan, and South Korea in terms od institutional action and personal relations between leaders. This article is gateway to a deeper understanding of the nature of American-Gulf relations and an attempt to develop them from a dependency relationship to an institutional strategic alliance as the article suggests.
