Abstract:
The Center for Gulf Studies and the Arabian Peninsula conducted a survey of Kuwaiti public opinion towards the performance of the government of the State of Kuwait in facing the crisis of the new Corona virus and dealing with it. The survey sample included 1087 individuals.Moreover, the results concluded that 33.61% of the respondents were (strongly agree) that the government dealt appropriately with the Corona virus crisis. While 31.13% of the respondents were, (agree). On the other hand, the study indicated that 9.73% of the respondents were (strongly disagree) that the government dealt with the crisis as required. In addition, 19.38% were (disagree), while 6.15% of the sample took a neutral position on the subject.The study found that the female respondents were more satisfied with the government’s performance in dealing with the coronavirus crisis, compared to the male respondents.In addition, that those with the highest educational level (postgraduate student) among the respondents were the least satisfied with the government’s performance in dealing with the crisis. While the respondents from the lowest educational level (below high school) were the most satisfied with the government’s performance. The survey explained that the older sample members (over 50 years) were the least satisfied with the government.While the younger sample members (less than 18 years old) were the most satisfied with the government’s performance. Moreover, that the respondents from the Al-Jahra governorate were the most satisfied with the government’s performance. While individuals from the Al-Asimah Governorate were the least satisfied.
